In 2007, SMK Electronics Corporation, USA acquired Interlink Electronics' Branded and OEM Remote Control Divisions. As a result, the SMK-Link Electronics Corporation was formed. Based in Camarillo, California, SMK-Link develops, manufactures and markets its own branded wireless computer peripherals, presentation remote controls, universal remote controls and Apple iPad support products. Purchasing the Gyration brand in 2011, SMK-Link now also markets Gyration’s popular motion sensing Air Mouse products, worldwide. The SMK-Electronics Corporation, established in 1925, is one of the world's largest manufacturer of remote controls--maintaining three ISO 9000-2001 and ISO 14001:2004 certified factories in Tijuana, Mexico with manufacturing space of 155,000 square feet. Remote controls are the featured product at SMK Mexico. SMK consistently produces 60 million remote controls annually worldwide and 18 million infrared (IR) and radio frequency (RF) remote controls at their Mexico facility alone. SMK offers remote controls with various technologies such as: universal, RF, Zigbee, Zwave, voice activation and two-way RF. |
